Hello,
I am new to chickens. These chicks are a couple months old. There are 10 chicks total. Three from one momma and 7 from another. We noticed that these 3 chicks (from the same momma) are missing feathers on head and neck and the skin is real scabby. So we separated them. The next day they seem to have lost more feathers down their backs but I am entirely sure.
Last night I bath them in Dawn and put antibacterial medicines on all the missing hair parts. They are eating and drinking well. Here a picture.
Are they being picked on or is it mites or something? The rest of the flock is not losing their feathers.
