Chicks Calling for No Apparent Reason?

Never came across this problem before....

Is it normal for chicks to do that high pitch LOUD chirp just "because"? The temp is right-they have areas to go if its too hot-water-food. What the heck!?

By the way...It is only one of them doing it.

Yes, there is always one or two that do that! They seem to settle down in a 48 hours.

They are just like kids, some what more attention than others.

Pick it up and check its bumm - just in case. Sometimes if you move the chick, even just a bit they will settle.

Make sure your chick feed is ground up a bit. Or offer them chick feed wet mash. Or feel their crops and see if they're eating.
