(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've had 10 or so chickens two previous times.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have six coming on September 8 from Meyer Hatchery.
(3) What breeds do you have?
One of each: White Cochin, Lisa Steele's Cookies & Cream, White Plymouth, Speckled Sussex, Dark Brahma, and Green Queen
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My chickens are just like my dogs and cats to me.....loved pets. Love bonding with them, watching them, taking care of them. The eggs are just a bonus.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, interior design, news junkie
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm a single 76 year old, almost finished with building a new home with a chicken coop the last room on the end of the house opening onto a covered deck and also into a covered run on several wooded acres.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Just found you while searching google for information on putting up an electric fence.
