I'm sorry for your loss. So let me see if I understand: You're trying to combine your young chicks with your older ones? Sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't. One thing to try is let the two ages of chicks see eachother (but not touch) for several days to a week. By the end of that time, they may have gotten used to eachother, and will integrate fine. If that doesn't work, you could try introducing the chicks to eachother in a different, larger area. If the area is neither flock's territory, they may not fight as much.
If none of those methods work, I would wait until the young chicks are at least eight weeks old, and then try introducing them. Otherwise they will be too small/weak to defend themselves against the older ones.
