" Chicks dig the scars man..."-- Ladies!

one of my friends has a scar on her throat from thyroid cancer as well, she hates it. Im with ya on the "take pride, sacrifices you had to make" and the lessons learned part. I love my scars becuase I will never forget what I had to go through to be the person I am today - the stupid stuff and the couragous ( aka really stupid ) stuff

My DH has too many scars to count... he has some really good stories! Unfortunately, most of the stories are fictitious... he got most of his scars from falling over/into/off of/through/out of/from inanimate objects.
I have a few scars - mostly surgical & animal related, with the occasional burn.

Honorable scars - yes, my hubby has plenty of those from working on cars, building stuff, stretching fence etc. Silly scars like from doing stupid stunts on his motorcycle when he knew better - not so much. But, I'm not the "average" dame - so I wouldn't count on my opinion being consistant with the majority of women.

Yep depends on the story, the true one. Although I find that some men feel their scars and imperfections should be sexy, but a scar or imperfection on a woman means they are not worthy. So they better have one heroic story to go with that scar if they are going to say squat about mine!

I personally love scars !! My hubby has a few - knee / elbow surgery ; cuts on his knuckles from fights as a young one ; & a few others here & there. Lol. I have way too many scars !! All over my arms, legs, feet & face. Ive got this pretty neat one right under my eye (like mary J blige) & i love it !! I know im weird. But my favorite scars have to be the two on my right bicep & inner wrist.. when i was about 3, I was defying my mother & ran away from her with out looking in front of me & I literally ran right thru a glass sliding door. This was years & years ago, but i have these two scars that are about 2inches each.
Also, since were talkign about scars, my daughter was born at 26wks Gestation & had to have heart surgery at 3 days old. The scar that was once no bigger than an inch long & was on her chest, is now about 5-6inches long & across her back.

I have only been rushed to the hospital once and it was in Puerto Rico. Hubby (he proposed that night) and I fell off a cliff and nearly died. We got ripped up pretty good, but lived. It's def. an interesting engagement story.

I love scars. Each scar is a story waiting to be told by the bearer!

I have several scars. Some from chickens, some from chicks, some from work...most from that darned chick wire...

Knee surgeries, HUGE bike wreck that involved 2nd degree burns and brain injuries...oh. And to top it all: Scars on my EARDRUMS.

I see the "Mederma" commercials and think "Why?!"

I have WAY more scars than my husband! LOL

That's what happens when you are the only girl in a neighborhood full of boys.

I have memories of some really cool crashes though. I am 45 and have a skate boarding scar to show off...LOL

Like everyone else, it depends on the scar. I once had a boyfriend who had a vertical scar on his lip, it was really nice, er.. sexy.

I have scars on the soles of my feet from an inadvertant attempt to walk on hot coals as a child. (Someone didn't put out their beach fire) I kinda like them.

I also have surgery scars that have left me with all sorts of weird lumps, those I don't like.
