I have 9 copper marans that I built a small coop / brooder separate from the main coop for. They have been living in it for aprox 10 days. Last night when I went to lock them in for the night I found them outside the fence all huddled together. I noticed them earlier in the day in their pen area doing the same thing. Tonight I again found them all huddled together outside the coop.

Does anyone know why they would not want to go in their comfy coop?

Mine are doing the same thing, they get goofy, wait too long, than I think it's too dark in the coop for them to want to go in, it's a phase they all seem to go through, I have to round mine up most nights. They grow out of it.
