chicks dropping dead

:welcome

Sorry about the rough start. :(

Losing 9 out of 14 is NOT the norm.

How long have you had them?
Can you tell us about how your brooder is set up?
What is your heat source?
What feed are you using?
What is the bedding?
If it is cedar shavings you need to get rid of it right away...not in an hour but NOW.
Do you have nutridrench on hand?
How are the remaining chicks acting?
been raising chickens for years...sometimes I buy..sometimes incubate and never had this problem..other chicks seem fine, but so did these......I have never tried this breed before..are they possibly weaker?

I don't think they are weaker because of the breed or mix of breeds actually.
Maybe they had a rough ride?

It is impossible to try to problem solve without any details at all.

Went to the coop tonight and 2 more dead.. they were fine about 3 hours before closing the coop. Went to close and 2 dead but only the cinnamons.. I use pine on the floor..feed chick starter and ground corn mixture...lots of fresh water. incubated hatch is all thriving...I am beginning to think just a bad bunch..
