chicks/ducks for 4H, help!

My daughter has decided that she wants to take chickens and possably ducks to 4H fair next summer. After reading the classes that are available, she wants to take a pair of Americana Bantams for the chickens and a pair of Blue Swedish ducks.

Are these good choices or are there some that would be better for this purpose? She is helping to take care of the chickens that we have now, so she does know the basics.

Those are great choices for 4H animals those are the exact things I take. Granted I've been doing 4H for about 7 years, but I've only done chickens and ducks for two years. So I think those would be great.

TIP: DO NOT wash the ducks!

Thanks, it will be her first year for birds, she has done a lot of other projects and her rabbits. It will be her 3rd year in 4H, she has finally decided to take one of the horses too. We will be super busy next fair,lol.
