All my adult birds are from the hatchery. The six chicks I have right now are from the hatchery birds. Three chicks are 9 weeks old and growing like weeds. The three younger chicks are supposed to be from my older brahma flock, but apparently my younger roo, a turken, has been a bit sneaky and two of the three chicks are turken over brahma. My concern is with the three younger chicks, a week old today.
Mama cares for them in the coop, but she hasn't brought them outside yet. They are healthy and active, eating fine. Their crops are constantly full. Their droppings look normal.
The thing is, they are feathering out quickly, but don't appear to be growing in overall size.
DH says I worry too much. Do I? (Maybe I don't want the answer to that
