How long can he live in there?

Chicks can take up to two whole days in their eggs hatching, that is the only time when a little bit of the thought of helping should just pop into your head and be converted into a little bit of action. Since it piped, there is no breathing problem, if is stays stuck, it might be a moisture problem, but that it is only a problematic possibility after two days of still being in the egg after first pip.

Yeah, I agree. Today is only day 21 and it hasn't even been 24 hours. You are good for right now.

If you are concerned that it can't break through then you can make the humidity go up a little to make sure the membrane is not dry but only do this if you think it cannot come out or time lapse it to see that it is still moving it will probably roll around in the time lapse and I am sure that will be reassuring.
