Ok I myself am new to the chicken world. Growing up we had chickens but I really never had much to do with them. So long story short between what I have hatched and what I bought from the hatchery I have way to many. The last bunch of eggs in bator just hatched this weekend and I now have about 70 chicks. All I wanted was a few brown egg layers for the eggs. My little one started having fun with the bator and now here we are.

I have chicks from a few days old to a month old and they enclude the following breeds.

BR
AU
DOM
SS
BUFF
WR
Delaware

I have the most of the BR and the AU

I know the 31 I ordered from the hatchery is suppose to be Pullets.

I have never done this before so I am not sure what I am doing. If anyone is interested please give me a shout I will make you a good deal just to cover my money I have spent.

Also I am not sure how to ship so I may not be able to unless someone can fill me in on it.

Thanks
Darrell

I'm not too far from you and may be interested in some, but I'm a little confused with your abbreviations. I think I know some of them but not others. Can you clarify them for me?

Also, how much would you want for them?

I am just over from you in Blountville, also some of your abbreviations got me also.

Have you considered taking them to the Jonesborough Flea Market? There are tons of chickens there for sale.

Yeah, I just got burned buying 4 silkies from there about 1 1/2 months ago

. I was so looking forward to finding some, drove the 2 1/2 hrs (in the rain) there with my crew, FINALLY found them, was told they were only 1 yr old, one laid an egg on the way home, no eggs since, and they are terrified of anything that comes near them.

There was a great auction in Mtn. City but the guy's place caught on fire a little while back

. The prices were great there too (we only got to go once, planned on going back the next time, it caught fire the week in between

Ah yes! I think you were talking with my mom about this (FleenorFarmMom) I hate you aren't having luck with your silkies. I have a friend that has some very nice quality silkies, she got her start from someone on one of these boards I do believe. If your still looking for Silkies I can see what she has. Mom has some silkies (they are mine but at her house) that we need to get rid of too. They are still young though, not sure whos what. Most of them are black.

As for the Mtn City auction I have heard alot of diseases come through there so I have never went.

I bought 3 D'Uccles at Jonesborough they were very nice, I think I went the weekend after you did. I am currently battling an illness with them but I don't think it was related to where they came from. I lost the Porcelian but my Mottled is hanging on.
