I have an order coming from Ideal next week. Can anyone tell me if they have received the following breeds from there and how they looked after they matured? I mean how close to breed standard. Wellsummers, silkies, salmon favorelle, barred rock and EE's? Thanks

The silkies I got from them were not very nice quality. They had alot of faults. Little to no crests on some, some with no feathering on the feet at all. Just not a pretty look in my opinion. Maybe they improved their quality since we bought some. Their temperments were nice though. Now my daughter bought banty Cochins from them that are pretty decent looking for a hatchery. Not show quality, but very nice pets. We were pleased with them, but I know not a breed you asked about.
I found their EEs to be kind of flightly compared to others I have but they were nice looking. They lay well and nice sized eggs. We got blue/green eggs, minty green eggs , one lays blue and one lays a cream brown color.
The Barred Rocks were smaller than breeder quality birds I have seen, but they lay well too and have curious and friendly personaiities. I have not tried any Wellsummers or Salmon Faverolles from them.

not going to show or anything like that, just curious. I have silkies from cackle and they are adorable. Ideal was the only hatchery that had the breeds that I wanted on the same hatch date. I just ordered 5 silkies...but I ordered 10 salmon favorelles.

I can comment on the BRs and EEs.

I adore my Barred Rocks. They lay every day, are pretty, large and they are super-sweet. They always hop on top of the nesting boxes to be "pet" when I feed them in the am

My EEs, on the otherhand...are flighty, lay brown/cream colored eggs and hate people. I received all of the older flock together, so they were all handled and treated the same as the rest. I really think its the breed from there.

Lets hope you have a different outcome in regards to the EEs
