Really? They had no silkies at ours. Chubs was the only one in the bins. I didn't even know what it was... Bet the kids at the store who unloaded them knew though. He knows his breeds. I just talked chickens with him on Wednesday.Silkies are buy one get one at our tsc. I got 2.![]()
Hmmmm... I'd love to know tooAt our store, in the bantam bin, there was an unusual looking chick in it also. I couldn't tell if they were bantams or not. But their fuzz was black underneath and almost white or silver towards the top. They were beautiful. I wish I knew what they were for future reference. And I noticed another chick with a crest on its head. Would that be a bantam to reckon?
They had to be bantams though because the only other thing in the bin were leghorns, easily picked out, and calico princesses. Both all light brown. But the bantams were straight runHmmmm... I'd love to know too
Maybe a bantam polish? They had to be bantams though because the only other thing in the bin were leghorns, easily picked out, and calico princesses. Both all light brown. But the bantams were straight run![]()
Sebrights don't have crests... I have a silver sebrightI just looked up bantam chicks until I found them. They were silver seabrights. They are like your Golds but with a white or silver head. I am glad to know now. Thanks for helping me work through thatlol
