Chicks going into coop

Hi our 5-6 week old
Chickens are ready to move to the coop. My question is do I block off the little sections where they will eventually lay their eggs? Or do I let them go in that area minus the section pieces? Thank yoy

Are they your only chickens? I'm assuming so since you wouldn't want to block out current laying hens. When we put our first group of chickens into the coop we blocked the nesting boxes until they were older. We didn't want them getting used to sleeping in them but they all wanted to roost so it wasn't really an issue anyway.

I'd say block off the nesting boxes since they will try to hide/sleep in them sometimes, and it's one less thing to clean. Good luck with the transition!
