My chicks are about 6 weeks old. They are headed out to the coop today. Will they need a heat lamp when the temp is 60 degrees? I plan on having it on at night, but when do I stop that? Thanks for all your help! It has been very helpful. lol

I suppose it depends on how cold it will be getting at night.

They are fine during the day now at 6 weeks.

I would offer the heat lamp for another two weeks or so, at least on one side of the coop. Start hardening them off by turning it off as early as possible in the mornings.
Having said that, my chicks were dealing with those nighttime temps at 5 1/2 weeks old, without their light. However, I had 21 of them.
