chicks got into the layer food

I got home from school today and the chicks had gotten out of their pen and in with the big girls. There was no fighting but they did get some of the layer food. Will it hurt them? I'm not sure how much they had.

I dont know the answer, I feed scratch and chick food to my hens with chicks, the chicks pick the chick starter and small seeds, they are fine. Been doing it since they were 3 days old.

They will be fine. It is not healthy for babies to have layer feed on a regular basis but one time should have no ill effects
