Until now just 10 out of 35 chicks hatched and im still waiting because is just day 20. My brahma rooster has one little toe at both feet but from all the chicks i hatched until now one is having normal toes, almost all of them are just like him, a few have a little bumb were the forth toe should be and the last one hasn't the forth toe at all

Here is him

He has splayed legs so i put on hobbles

My question is if they going to have a normal life?

What did you make the hobbles out of?! It looks like a great design! How are little ones doing?

I can't believe that was a straw! Such a great idea! And look at that handsome teen chicken now! It doesn't look like having a missing toe is inhibiting him any! Cute little guy. Did you end up with most of the hatch missing a toe? Interesting genetics!
Hes the only one with the missing toe, almost the rest i have it very small and 2-3 are normal

Interesting- someone must have some fun mutation in their genes somewhere! Glad to hear everyone is doing well, and that you got a couple that are completely normal. :)
All the chicks genetics are: 25% barred rock, 25% giant cochin( were the toe problems come from) and 50% brahma
