Hi my name is Beth and I have a question..Not sure if there is an answer or not but my last batch of chicks started popping out on day 17. I did not miscount days... I had it marked on my calender and on my phone. It was a really good hatch though.. I had 25 of them. I pulled my eggs on day 17 and I checked back in about 20 mins and they just went nuts! Im confused though.. Anyone have any ideas? I try to have my incubator at 99.5 or half a degree variance at all times.. Thanks :)

I would also suggest checking your thermometer and mention that sometimes bantam eggs hatch somewhat earlier than 21 days.

Really small eggs, like bantam eggs sometimes hatch quicker than standard size ones, otherwise the temperature was a bit too high. I'm glad to hear they hatched O.K. though.
