Chicks have a hard time pooping?

I've noticed my (3 or 4 day old) chicks seem to be struggling to poop. They squat down, look like they're pushing really hard, but barely any poop comes out. They're eating and drinking well. Right now their brooder is indoors in a 20-21°C room with a heat panel, but I plan on moving the brooder outside in the coop next week. Some have a bit of poop stuck, but it doesn't seem to be covering the vent. Maybe the heater is too low? I have one end lower and one higher, but some still prefer to sleep next to the heater. No unhappy chirps though.

What're they eating and do you have any grit in their diet? Grit is grind down any large things they may be eating making it harder for them to poop, such as wood shaving large pieces of corn etc.

I'm giving them chick feed. Don't know how else to explain it, so here's a picture of the food.

Each photo is a different chick. The majority of chicks don't have any poop stuck. I didn't know what angle would be best to take a picture in, so I hope this works.

I would get the poop off before it turns into something more. You can either try freezing some coconut oil and giving small pieces of it for them to eat, or you can melt some and add it to their water. That'll help them to poop easier.
