Chicks head swollen.

Hi, I found my chick this way. He can't eat or drink. What do I do?

What climate are you in? Are their mosquitoes out, or are there ants? That looks like either insect bites, pecking, or possibly fowl pox. You will need to try and feed him, or learn how to tube feed him. Go to the top of this page and do a search for "go team tube feeding." You will need a feeding tube and a syringe. I would start some SaveAChick electrolytes with vitamins, pedialyte, or gatorade. Then you can grind up chick crumbles fine in a food processor and add water to them.

Southern Ms. It's a bit early for misquetoes, but it's possible
No ants. I can tube feed, just not sure what to do past that. He's having fluid leak from one eye now. Is there anything I can give him that's available at grocery stores/Walmart? It's Sunday so nothing else is open until tomorrow.
