I have 15 chicks that are now 5 days old in a decent side box that I have set up with an eco glow brooder for the heat source. Up until tonight they have all slept soundly underneath the heat and have been fine. During the day they are playful and are running around everywhere and are eating and drinking well. Tonight I noticed that instead of sleeping under the eco glow like normal, they are all huddled very closely together in the opposite corner of the box but sleeping well. I thought maybe they were too hot but they arent spread out like they are hot they are almost piled on top of each other. I dont know what's wrong and I'm afraid they will suffocate sleeping like this.(I have a security camera on them at all times.)

Please help!

The temp is now 92 degrees. I researched that I should keep it between 90 and 95 for the first week and they are just 5 days old now. They have been sleeping good under this same level of heat for the past 2 nights but tonight they are sleeping on the opposite end but as close to each other as they can. I figured if they were too warm they wouldn't be on top of one another.

I agree with the others. You have 15 tiny, but warm bodies all piled together so they are making their own heat just fine :) If they get cold they will go back to the heat lamp. Your chicks will not suffocate. Just think if a hen hatched them they would be under her... lol. Even thought they are babies and small their instincts are still on point of what they need :)
