I put my 4 week old chicks out into the coop a couple days ago. It has been warm during the day/night. But now the temp fell to 50F

. I do have a 60 watt heat bulb just above where they like to sleep incase they need extra warmth.

My question is: Will they huddle under the lamp if they are too cold? They have been very active and they are "spread out". This is my second batch/year of chicks. I am much earlier this time putting the chicks in the coop.

I hope I am an overly concered mama! Wont their behavior indicate if they are cold/unhappy?

All I can say is I WISH it was 50 here!!! OMG the heat last week was terrible... high right at 100, low maybe 80. It is better this week tho... muggy and rainy.
