I put mine out at 6 weeks and they did the same thing. My 9 year old rounded up and put them away. The next night was the same drill. By the fourth night they were going up the ladder on their own and since then they've tucked themselves away very nicely. At about 8 weeks they started using the roost bars all on their own. Just show them what to do and they'll get the hang of it.
