I have two chicks which are about 6 weeks old and they stay outside during the day and go into my house at night.
I am staying at my nans house right now and the chicks are in my house at night now by themselves.
When you turn the lights off it is pitch black and you can hear them chirping and I feel really bad
Will they stop chirping and go to sleep or will they be stressed out and scared all night??

I assume you haven't been keeping them in a day/night cycle before this? They're chirping because this is new and that's why they're nervous. They'll be fine and will settle down once they get over the OMG IT'S DARK part. Not sure when you plan on moving them outside permanently but at 6 weeks old they really should start getting used to having daytime and nighttime.

Thankyou I will try to get them used to a day/night cycle and we (my family) might be putting them outside permanently in about a week

Oh good I forgot to ask when you were planning on moving them outside to stay.

Don't let them being upset get to you (they'll be upset once they realize they're staying outside at night too, when that time comes). Chickens don't like change so you can imagine how it must feel to them to suddenly have darkness if they haven't really had it before.
