chicks in the summer?

Can I still get chicks in the summer? I have to wait till at least july before we get more.

Oh good! I didnt want to miss my chance to get another batch but I wanna wait till the ones in the brooder are outside in the coop (that I really should build)

I got some chicks on July 6th last summer and am expecting some on August 15th this summer. No problem.

Nothing wrong with getting them during the summer at all. If they are shipped, they should have a ice pack with them (If the temp is too hot, of course). Hope this helps.

I raised some in june one year and it was a little easier in fact cause they could be outside alot more. Plus if you use a hatchery it will be summer before they have chicks for sale looks like.

Actully I get mine at TSC. If they dont have them I guess I will have to find me a hatchery nearby.
