I have a hen that I suspect is laying under our house. I would like to avoid her going broody (she already hatched chicks before) because I don't want to have to deal with chicks in the winter. I'm not able to secure the entire parameter anytime soon so if she does hatch any chicks, what should I be worried about or what should I prepare for? I'm in Houston, TX so we don't get snow or anything but can get a few days of freezing temps at times.
