I was a little nervous to put them out tonight. The temps here are still dipping down into the 40's on occasion and we're supposed to get a good bit of rain tonight. They were feeling cramped in their brooder though, and starting to get a little stinky. It's kind of like with your kids. At some point, you want them to move out on their own, but are unsure how it will go.
They were super happy to poke around in their new house. They spent a good part of the evening in the run. (We built a tractor) At dusk I shoo'ed them in. I just went to check on them for the 100th time and they're all up in the roosting pole I thought would be too high for them to get to! I'm glad to see they are doing their thing!
Hopefully the morning will bring happy, dry chicks!
