Chicks in with my Rooster?

I have some 4 month old chicks, and a 2 year old rooster. I was just curious on your guys opinion on when I can put my chicks into the bigger coop with my large rooster? My rooster is alone and needs some company. Is it to soon? Should I wait a few more months?
