Chicks keep killing each other - Why!?

Sometimes you never know what went wrong.

Have you inspected all of them closely to make sure navels are healed and butts are not pasted. Every single one of them is eating/drinking?

I would try to go with a red light though if possible.

Reason I'm asking about navels healed, I looked back over your photos. That does not look like the vent, it looks like the navel and possibly intestine wrapped around the leg, but I would be wrong.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad experience with your chicks. I can understand your desire to get rid of them. I hope you will try again with another batch of chicks. Maybe start with just a few next time. Best wishes!

I found a new home for all 20 of the babies today. Hopefully they have a good home with lots of love.

It looks kinda like she got poop on her vent, and the others started picking her, then kept going until she just died . I’d keep an eye on any future chicks so that doesn’t happen again.
