I had trouble with more hens going broody too. What worked best for my chickens is a seperated large laying nest with a small run. A broody hen who lives in a more natural environment searches a quiet
place away from other chickens. They need to focus on the task and other chickens can be disturbing .
I like to have two broodies on a nest , but it depends on how well they get along if this is okay or not. Break al the other broodies.
