Chicks not going in at night

Hi everyone so my chicks that hatched in March must now be teenagers as mummy hen has left them to be independent Problem I have is they don't go into the coop at night but are roosting in the pallet shelter or on pallets out in the open. We don't have foxes here but I still want them inside. Problem 2 I can't catch them!
Any tips for getting them inside? thought they would follow the other chickens in but they have no interest in the coop.
Otherwise I saw a video on youtube using a wire to hook their legs but that looks traumatic!

If you grab them when it’s pitch black with weak flashlight, they shouldn’t see you coming, or use a landing net if you have one. Place them in the coop every night or tempt in with treats, then lock them in. They should go in on their own after a week or two.

Do a call whenever you give this treat to them (I do a loud 'chookchookchook'), and they'll soon learn like a dog would do with the same training, that your call means super tasty treat.

Then just put the treat in the house and call when you want them to go in
