Chicks not roosting

I put a little ladder up to the roost and mine climb up on it to get to the roost. OF course, some just stop and roost on the ladder!

Mine wont roost in the coop unless there is no other option. I got her Roo so she would not be alone and this has made things worse. She wont even go outside in the evening around bed time anymore for fear I wont let her sleep inside the house on her nest and instead put her in the coop with him. I hope she will outgrow this behavior as I feel so sorry for Roo having to roost alone in the coop.

mine seem to go into the coop in the day ,, and seek the porch light from the house after dark, stayin in the run until we place them in the coop,,,, hmmm

also why are they so easy to handle after dark,, they dont seem to mind being stalked and hand lifted near as much after dark as when its light..???

Because they have no night vision! Makes it easy.........

wow,, i wnet out last night and mine ALL got the roosting down pat,. they were all roosting on my poles, problem now is they ear roosting in the Run,, not inside the coop .........

they are mental.......
