My neighbor is a 87 year old farmer. He comes by & gets a dozen eggs, veggies etc. Great guy he will watch my chickens if I leave the farm for a few days. He raised chickens for along time & I'm always talking about my chickens & he knows the chicken lingo from the old school. I hatched some chicks & told him about the chicks. He refered to the chicks as biddy's. I now refer to my chicks as biddy's does anyone still use this name. I even named my first hatched biddy as Iddy Biddy.

I don't but my 84 yr old grandmother does. I wondered what the heck she was talking about the first time she referred to them as biddies.
