I have 2, 3 day old silky chicks and they peck at each others feet. Is this normal?

I haven't had chicks for a while, but I think I do remember them pecking each others feet.

Mine are pecking at each other but I can't tell if their picking off what they think is food (and is Pine shavings) or their already showing who is boss. My Orpingtons are 6 days old and my Easter eggers are 4 days old. The orps are the ones doing the pecking.

It's normal for chicks to peck at each others feet, their little toes look like worms. That is why most people put red heat lamps in their brooders, it makes it harder for the chicks to see the feet of their brooder buddies. They should be fine though as long as they're not drawing blood.
