chicks peeping in eggs

How loud does a baby chick peep in its egg? Is it as loud as a dried happy little chick or like a weak chirp? would i be able to hear it peeping in my incubator from a distance, or would i have to be close to it?

Depends on the chick. Some I never really hear anything out of until it's pipped.

I've heard cheeping when they were inside the egg, not even pipped, except into the aircell. It's amazingly loud on a healthy chick with a good set of lungs, LOL.
