Over breeding? They can do that? How
Many hens should a rooster have?

The general rule of thumb is 10 hens to 1 rooster. Some boys like more, some boys only need a few. Roosters are not gentle while mating. They bite the hens on the neck and dig in their spurs to hold on. If you don't have enough hens for your rooster, or he has one or two hens that he likes breeding frequently, they will start getting bare backs. You can buy hen aprons to help protect their backs, but it can get to the point where they are getting too stressed to lay eggs.
