My names pam i live in louisville, ky
In may my bf and i are getting 4 black australorps and 4 silver laced wyandottes from mypetchicken. these will be our first chicks and i am super excited!

Yes i have been drafting coop blueprints for a while now... i couldnt be more excited. The brooder i think we're going to use one of those interlocking cardboard pens ?? are those sturdy enough to last the 6 wks they will be in there?

Hello and Welcome To BYC! Good luck with your chicks! Those cardboard pens should work fine until about 6 weeks (just be sure you get one big enough), you will have to put something over the top of it when the chicks are around 2-3 weeks old or they will start flying out.
