Chicks squished under mama?

The last two batches I've let my broody hens raise, there has been one chick that I've found dead in the morning, looking as though it got squished or suffocated under mama. The babies were active and running around the previous day, then dead in the morning. Anyone else dealing with this? This time it was the only silkie that hatched.

There are 6 cochin babies left, and they all seem to be doing great.

I have not had this recently, but did in the past. Who knows why the chick passes and most likely would have passes in a brooder, but I do not think the broody squished it dead. (least I hope
