Chicks starved in the mail

We mail ordered 33 chicks from Meyer Hatchery. They took 4 days to get to our post office despite the hatchery only being 1.5 hrs away from us.

5 were DOA and we have lost more than half already, with more dying. We have done everything we know to help but they are so messed up.

I am heartbroken. I guess the only thing I want here is solidarity?

Oh, I'm very sorry to hear that. I know there have been mail delivery delays all across the USA. I'm sorry it's something you're having to deal with - to some really tragic results.

If not can you get some today?

More than likely they are dying from dehydration. Try and get some electrolytes in them....and contact Meyer for replacements or a refund.

Yes they will but with my husband's work schedule and all of our kids and a new baby we couldn't make the drive.

Yes I have been giving them nutridrench. Been handing feeding and watering since they got here.

Yes we've been giving them electrolytes. I contacted them and they said to write back at the 48 hour mark with how many have died.

No, certainly not forcing over here, not even using a dropper. Not sure where you got that idea. We are not new to chicks.
