Unfortunately, sexing chicks is a craps shoot at best. 
I have had excellent luck so far buying from a local feed store (Carolina Town and Country.) They give a 90% accuracy rating, and I have no complaints. I have no experience having them shipped from a hatchery, but know people who only get their chicks that way and are satisfied. I wish I had better advice for you!! Our White Orp is just the most docile in the flock. Not exceedingly bright, but sweet and calm. lol
