Chicks wading in a pie tin.

Yesterday I set a pie tin out filled with cool water. My 3 little EE decided it was perfect to use as a wading pool.
So today, I set it out again, had to change it twice already, you know kids, always putting their dirty feet in the pool.

Here are Twinkle, Sweet Pea & Cinnamon playing in the water.

How old are they? I wanna do this but I'm worried my babies will drown.

My girls are a month old. I introduced them to the older girls (by 2 weeks), 4 days ago. The little ones stay out in the run most of the day, but keep to themselves, sometimes one of the Buffs come over to socialize, and are nice to them. My Rocks get a big bossy and will chase or peck them, but this is not often, maybe once or twice during the day.

As for the water, I started yesterday with just half a pie tin full, just to see what they would do. There is no way they could drown.
