I have 5 Light Sussex and 8 Australorp chicks that were hatched together 5 weeks ago. The Light Sussex chicks' beaks and combs are starting to turn black. I've attached a photo of one of them but they are all similar.

Is this normal for this breed? Or are they not pure Light Sussex? Or is there a health issue? They are in an outdoor coop but it's not going below 15C overnight. They stopped using their heat plate over a week ago and are fully feathered. The Australorps aren't affected, just the Light Sussex and there is no change at all in their behaviour, eating, droppings etc. They are very lively and forage around all day.
