My 11 week old chicks have diarrhea. We've had a whole week of terrible thunderstorms and it is keeping their coop wet all the time.
For shelter they have two large dog crates inside the chicken run that have a wooden roof constructed over them and a tarp covering 3 sides, but it sits on the ground and it is staying wet at the ground level. I have pine shavings inside the dog crates, but they are wet too and the rest of the run is just a big muddy mess and it stinks really bad too.
They don't look sick and they are eating fine and staying clean, but I just noticed today that all the poop in the coop is runny now.
They are still on medicated chick starter. Is there anything I should do for them or should I worry? They aren't quite big enough to put in the big [water proof] hen house with the grown hens yet....
Thanks!
Kelly
