I have 14 13 day old chicks that I hatched from my own chickens. Several of the chicks have very soft dark caramel to chocolate (yummy) colored stools (eewww, not yummy at all). They are being fed medicated feed and water with probiotics. They all look and act normal. They are bedded on pine shavings and have a brooder plate for heat. I don’t recall having this issue with the batches of chicks I raised last year. What can I do to correct this?
