I don’t know exactly where to post this. I’m giving the 4 week old chicks a good look over as we prepare to transition from the brooder box to the coop, and I noticed some with weird looking backs. I mean, they are all kinda awkward looking, half in between fuzzy and feathered lol. Bright eyes, super active, all eating/drinking/chirping like sing birds. Is this normal??? It’s more pronounced depending on how they are standing. Be nice while laughing at me, I’m so new at this lol

They are just growing feathers and they fill in at different rates on different parts of the body, and different breeds can sometimes feather a bit differently than others. It's common to have bare spots during this time too, they usually fill in fairly quickly. They look normal to me based on their age! Between 7 and 12 weeks you will see a lot of lost feathers around as they molt again and get their second set of feathers.
This link has some pictures at different ages.
