anyone know what type of chicken this is?,also very new to chickens

Sorry, it looks like a Cornish cross used exclusively for meat. If the chick you have is a pet, it will have an extremely short life span and needs to have restricted food to prevent heart and mobility problems :(

Cornish cross are hybrids produced by crossing Cornish roosters with White Rock hens. The resulting offspring grow much faster than either parent breed and are ready for butchering at 8 weeks. It's one of the interesting quirks of hybridization. Unfortunately, because of their abnormal growth rates, if they are not butchered but allowed to continue growing, they typically start experiencing severe health problems (arthritis, respiratory issue, heart problems, etc.) at a very young age. Their lifespans can sometimes be extended a few months by severely reducing their food intake and forcing them to get exercise by having to forage for their food, but even so, it's uncommon for a Cornish cross hen to live long enough to start laying eggs, and very rare for a Cornish cross to reach a year old.
