We have 11 chicks, four were hatched and raised by my hen, and seven were bought and purchased at TSC. They have been separate, the seven are 5 weeks and the four are four weeks. One of the 7 is 7 weeks because we got it earlier then the others. The mother is weaning the four and were attempting to mingle the seven with the four. They are in a private coup. I put two in with the four because all seven were kinda being mean to the four. They are doing okay, i’m gonna keep adding once these start to bond a bit. I’ll separate them at night so the mom can sleep with her chicks. Is this a good method? It seems to be working okay.
