Chicks

I like Ideal for it's superior small-order policies and the fact that it's in a hot climate so I can expect Ideal birds to be pre-selected for heat tolerance -- very important to me here in central NC.

Half my birds are from Welp. They have a wider breed selection but very ridgid minimum number policies so if you're not wanting 25 chicks in batches of no less than 5 of each breed then they're not a good choice.

I have not had dealings with Cackle because I find them expensive but they are reputed to have high quality birds.

How many chicks are you looking to get? Minimum orders at the big hatcheries are:
Ideal: 8-9 ($40 min order), $20 ship/fees
Mt Healthy 3-9 ($30 ship/fees), 10-24 ($15 ship/fees), 25+ no fee
McMurray 6-14 ($35 ship/fees), 15+ no fee
Hoovers 15 (min 5/breed), no fee
Cackle 25 (min 3/breed), shipping is complicated to explain

They just posted they went with Ideal

Meyers you can get as few as 3, but shipping costs more for 3. I usually order 15+ which is $15 to ship, or 25 which is only $10 to ship (up to 100 is $10) Or at least it used to be. I would order the birds I wanted and a few inexpensive ones to sell or rooster chicks for packing peanuts. They have been really good sending correct sexes.

Also if you watch for specials some days they have free shipping, or chick specials.
Today I am getting hatching eggs in the mail.
