when do i stop feeding chicks peep feed. they are in full feather and about 5 weeks old

Feed starter/grower until you get you first egg, then switch to layer.

Second, here's what I've found from other threads on this topic.

Your chicks should be feed starter/grower or starter until the point of lay (laying eggs). Then go ahead and change them over to layer pellets or layer crumbles. I prefer the pellets.​
