I made a thread before, I think it was same noise maybe

peopel said was egg laying song or danger near by

in the vid I add here

I show the noise, and the pot were chikens have laid eggs , and recently the plastic tub , my dad put fake eggs to kinda make them lay there

I was going to put the fake eggs in the area in the shed, atached pic, the pic has iron table so the chiken can go in there, coz that area is abit high

I dont know why the egg is making noise, but now I think maybe the chiken wants someome to remove the egg from the previous chikne?

also I dont know why the previous chicken left there egg alone

after I recorded this, the other chieksn starts making noise,

and half hour later the chiekn was in the shed near the box inside the shed were some chikens lay egg staring at it and making noise,

maube the other chickens egg were in the box

sory I think I just answered my own question, I think I need more spots for them to lay

should I buy more plastic tubs and put fake eggs in and some hemp? I duno if I can buy those nesting boxes for all the chikens

thats just their egg laying announcement .. i havent figured out exactly why they do it, but they usually start as soon as they walk off the egg box for several minutes .. i think it serves 2 purposes - one it draws attention away from the nest and 2 (which is more likely the main reason) is in a more natural setting a sitting chicken is seperated from the flock while she lays and it calls the flock in so she can join up with it ..

chickens will share a box, most all of the time all 8 of my chickens will lay in the same box even with other options open to them. They also will all cackle and make noise while they are laying or while waiting to lay. You can put more laying options out if you like but more often times than not they will all want to lay in the same place if confined to a area. Just make the spot you want them to lay in inviting and cozy so they feel comfortable laying there.

Well you can make a a laying box out of about anything that's big enough for the hen to get in and turn around in; like buckets, storage containers with a opening cut out or even cheap enclosed cat litter boxes will work. Just put them in a place without allot of traffic and let the chickens know they are there. The pics are just example ones I saw on the internet. Put some hay, straw or wood flakes (I've even used paper from my paper shredder mixed with wood chips) in the container and that should be inviting enough. You can place a fake egg in it to get them started so they know that's what it's used for.

Thanks

usualy I been aslep at morning

at morning there doing the noise alot

I put a litle half of cardboard box, and put hemp in it, I put the chicken in, he jumped out

I guess when the other place is empty, Ill put some of the fake eggs in there, to see if the chicken will go there

is there a way to stop them from making the noise? making me abit insane and I tihnk the neighbours are proly feeling the same

right now the chicks who dont have a spot are making the noise, two chickens are in the two spots laying an egg

the other two are walking around it, making the noise
